Is the Sax Back?

What do Lady Gaga's "Edge of Glory" and Katy Perry's "Last Friday Night (TGIF)" have in common?

Probably a lot, but I'm focusing on the wicked awesome 80's-style sax solos.

I'm a fan; I sure hope we see more of the sax solos in the near future.
